ROOKIE DIVISION
PRE K & KINDERGARTEN
The Rookie League is a wonderful introduction to the sport for all kids. The emphasis is on fun and an introduction to some basic baseball skills. A batting T is used to emphasize the importance of learning a proper swing, with some pitching by coaches. The league runs from April through the mid June. Each team plays 10 games (*weather permitting) on Saturday mornings.

When: Saturday mornings start time (9am and 11am game slots)
This is a non-competitive developmental league. Emphasis is on the fundamentals of the game with children playing all the positions, including two innings of "kid-pitch" with modified rules. Innings are over when three outs are made or eight players bat. For many children the Farm League is their entry point to baseball. The league runs from April through the mid June. MIDDLE34 DIVISION
3rd & 4th Grade
Middle Division... things get serious. Not only are the scores and standings kept, its now time for the Coach to stand by and watch the players pitch!! Umpires work each game and the season ends with a championship tournament. Teams are formed with the objective of evenness and balance. The league generally runs from April through the first or second weekend of June.

When: Games start Saturday mornings at either 9:30am or afternoon at 12:00. Weekday games are played at 5:30pm on Wednesday
MAJOR56 DIVISION
5th & 6th Grade
While most players in the Major League have prior baseball experience, we have seen many youngsters start the game at the Major League level if they have the desire to play and learn. Games are played on Saturdays with one game midweek. Leadoffs and base stealing become part of the game. All games are umpired. Innings end with three outs or five runs scored. Teams are formed by a draft to ensure competitiveness and balance. A championship tournament ends the season. The league generally runs from April through the first or second weekend of June.

When: Games start Saturday mornings at either 10:00am or afternoon at 12:30. Weekday games are played at 5:30pm on Thursdays
In this league, all the rules of baseball are in force, including leadoffs and stealing. Teams are formed by a draft with the objective of evenness and balance. Umpires work all games. Pony League teams play in the Chicago Suburban Youth Baseball Association and play against teams from surrounding towns.
Where: James Park and other towns around the area. Usually Skokie, Wilmette and Lincolnwood
When: Schedule is determined by CSYBA. Usually 2-3 games a week. Player and Coaches must be prepared for a random schedule. Weeknight games usually start at 6:30pm
