TRYOUTS & SKILLS CLINICS

Evanston Express Travel Softball Club is holding tryouts for the 2026-27 travel softball season!

TRYOUT DATES (advanced registration required)
  • 10U - Born September 1, 2015 or later (roughly 5th grade & younger) Tuesday, July 17th, 5:00–7:00 PM Guided warm-up begins 4:30 PM. Formal evaluations begin at 5:00 PM.
  • 12U - Born September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2015 (roughly 6th & 7th) Thursday, July 16th, 5:00–7:00 PM Check-in and warm-up as early as 4:30 PM. Formal evaluations begin at 5:00 PM
  • 14U - Born September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2013 (roughly 8th & 9th) Wednesday, July 15th, 5:00–7:00 PM Check-in and warm-up as early as 4:30 PM. Formal evaluations begin at 5:00 PM.
  • 16U - Born September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2011 (roughly 10th & 11th) Monday, July 13th, 5:00–7:00 PM Check-in and warm-up as early as 4:30 PM. Formal evaluations begin at 5:00 PM.
Tryouts will take place in Evanston. The specific location will be shared with registrants closer to the actual tryout date.

All tryouts will take place at James Park in Evanston. Field assignments will be confirmed the week prior to the tryout.

It is to your players' advantage to attend the tryout for their age group. If you have an immovable conflict, please send and email to evanstonexpressfastpitch@gmail.com We will do our best to schedule a make-up. It is our strong preference (and in your players best interest) to schedule this in the weeks BEFORE the main tryout. 

There is no fee for tryouts but registration is required.

Efforts have been made to coordinate the schedule for upcoming season of fall house league softball with the Express calendar. Players who receive an offer to play for Express can participate in both programs.

EXPRESS 12U7 SUN PRAIRIE TOURNEY CHAMPS!

This is the FIRST TROPHY WIN for the 12U7 TEAM!!! CONGRATS!

EXPRESS 10U SPARTAN TOURNEY CHAMPS!

This is the FIRST TROPHY WIN for the 10U TEAM!!! CONGRATS!

2ND PLACE - ZOMBIE SCRAMBLE TOURNEY 

14u Express took 2nd place at the Zombie Scramble Tournament.  
The first fall trophy win!!!

WINNERS of the OAK PARK FALCON FEST TOURNEY!

Our 14u Express team won the the Oak Park tournament, winning the Championship game with a score of 17-16.  The team started off the game behind by 13 points, but came ROARing back in the 4th inning with 7 runs!  Over the next few innings they held the opponent to only 3 more runs.  While Express just kept chipping away at their lead with big swings at the plate.  In the 7th inning, now only down by 3, Express hit hard loading up base runners.  The dugout screamed and cheered as their teammates drove in two more runs.   The tying run was sent home by the strong bat of Alba V! With 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the opponent walked the next batter to load the bases.  This set up Brigid R. (who earlier hit a home run) to step up to bat.  She kept her hot bat going, with a perfectly placed hit, that drove in the winning run!  Great game 14u Express!
